Hiring a contractor has gotten worse over the last decade, not better. Online “find a pro” services treat each inquiry as inventory to be sold to multiple businesses, and the homeowner ends up fielding five callbacks before they’ve finished their coffee. The contractor side gets the mirror image — paying for leads that four competitors are also paying for, with no way to know which inquiries are real until they’ve already invested time chasing them.
Reliable.Work is built on the premise that both sides benefit when the relationship is exclusive. One licensed contractor per trade per city. That contractor is the only business homeowner inquiries from our site reach in that market, and inquiries from that market are the only inquiries we send them.
What “reliable” means here
For homeowners: one introduction, not a bidding war. The contractor you reach through Reliable.Work is the contractor we’ve partnered with for your area — vetted, licensed where state law requires it, and operating their own independent business. If they can’t take on your project, you’ll know within their normal callback window. We don’t shuffle your inquiry to a second-choice contractor in the background, and we don’t sell your contact information to other businesses.
For contractors: a steady relationship with one referral source instead of a portfolio of platforms each fighting for a slice of your marketing budget. Flat per-lead pricing, no monthly minimums, no auction-style bidding, no obligation to take a lead you can’t service. Exclusivity in your market for as long as you’re paying for it and operating in good standing.
What we are, what we aren’t
Reliable.Work is a lead referral service — not a contractor. We don’t perform work, write quotes, source materials, or stand behind anyone else’s workmanship. The contractor partner you reach through us is the business doing the actual work, carrying the license and insurance, and the business you’d hold to account if something goes wrong.
